Description
A 45-year-old man with no comorbidities who underwent an inflatable penile prosthesis implant 8 years ago for the treatment of premature ejaculation presented with mechanical failure of the prosthesis a few months ago, unable to inflate it. One year ago, he underwent penile filler with hyaluronic acid for aesthetic purposes, presenting with a penis with a large volume of filler material and nodules, but with a free scrotum and an easily palpable pump. The surgical approach was performed through a transverse penoscrotal incision, providing easy access to the pump and connections. We promptly identified the site of mechanical failure of the prosthesis, which corresponded to a ruptured connection between the pump and one of the cylinders. Despite the anatomical changes observed in the penile shaft, the inflatable penile prosthesis was replaced uneventfully.
