Faysal A. Yafi, M.D., F.R.C.S.C.
Dr. Yafi is Associate Professor of Urology, Chief of the Division Men’s Health and Reconstructive Urology, Director of Men’s Health and Newport Urology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). His practice is specialized in men’s health, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease, prosthetic surgery, male voiding dysfunction/enlarged prostate and male infertility.
Dr. Yafi earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He then served his internship in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and subsequently completed his residency in Urology at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He then completed a two year fellowship in Andrology, Sexual Medicine and Prosthetic Urology at Tulane University. Dr. Yafi is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Yafi serves on numerous national and international society committees as both member and chair. With the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, he serves as chair of the Website Committee and has served as chair of the Abstract Review Committee for the 2017 annual meeting. He was the co-chair of the Scientific Committee for the 2020 annual meeting and chair of the Scientific Committee for the 2021 meeting. With the International Society for Sexual Medicine, he has as chair of the Grants and Prizes, Consultation and Guidelines, and Scientific Review committees. With the Société Internationale d’Urologie, he has served as chair of the Office of Education. He is also a member of the American Urological Association Priapism guidelines. Dr. Yafi also serves as editor in chief of the Video Journal of Sexual Medicine.
Dr. Yafi is the director of the International Advanced Male Prosthetics and the Advanced Men’s Health courses held yearly at UCI since 2018, was chair of the penile prosthetic courses at the Société Internationale d’Urologie congresses in Korea in 2018 and Greece in 2019 and was chair of the inflatable penile prosthesis course at the 2020 SMSNA meeting. Dr Yafi has also been a faculty member of instructional courses at the 2022, 2023 and upcoming 2024 AUA meetings.
Dr. Yafi has an avid interest in both basic and clinical research. He has contributed more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, educational guidelines and book chapters, has been invited as a visiting professor and a speaker at multiple national and international venues, and has received multiple national and international awards and recognitions, including the UCI Excellence in Teaching award in 2020, the UCI Rising Stars award in 2020, and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America Young Investigator Award of Excellence in 2022. Along with his wife Natalie, he is the co-editor of a book entitled “Effects of Lifestyle on Men’s Health”.
David Barham is an attending urologist at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antionio, TX specializing in reconstructive urology and men’s health. He graduated medical school from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University on the US Army Health Professions Scholarship Program. He completed residency in Urology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI followed by fellowship at UC, Irvine in Male Reconstructive Urology. He is an active member in the ISSM and SMSNA and currently is a member of the SMSNA Website Committee. His research interest include the medical and surgical management of erectile dysfunction, testosterone deficiency, lower urinary tract reconstruction, and combat related genitourinary trauma.
Martin S. Gross, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (Urology) at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. He is the Men’s Health specialist for Dartmouth Health. He graduated from UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School and completed his Urology residency at Boston University Medical Center. He subsequently completed a Men’s Health Fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He has coauthored over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, videos and book chapters. His research publications have garnered multiple awards. He serves on a number of journal and specialty society boards, including The Journal of Urology and the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons. He is an Associate Editor for The Journal of Sexual Medicine and the Video Journal of Sexual Medicine. He teaches about Men’s Health and provides penile prosthetic surgical training both domestically and internationally. His clinical interests include complex penile prosthesis surgery, penile prosthesis infection prevention, and the treatment of Peyronie’s disease, male stress urinary incontinence, chronic orchialgia and hypogonadism.
Dr Christopher Love – M.B. B.S., F.R.A.C.S.
Dr Christopher Love graduated from Monash University, Australia, in 1978. He spent his early training years in Melbourne before moving to Sydney to commence training as a Urology Register. He completed his Urology training in Melbourne in 1986, and then went to UCSF in San Francisco in an observing role.
He became involved in Male Health in 1987 and has been a major penile implant surgeon in Australia since that time and is now the highest volume implant surgeon in that country. Dr. Love treats patients from all parts of Australia, and from overseas, and his experience leads him to be being highly regarded amongst peers and patients, and to be acknowledged as one of Australia’s experts in penile implant surgery, and other forms of prosthetic urology.
He is also the most experienced Australian surgeon in Peyronie’s disease, and the only surgeon in the country doing length and girth restoration surgery, with penile implantation, for this condition. Dr. Love also continues to treat all aspects of general urology.
He has multiple publications on urology topics and has given numerous lectures and presentations to patient groups, urologists and primary care physicians, as well as demonstrating and teaching aspects of urologic prosthetic surgery, both nationally and internationally.
He is on the international prosthetic surgical training panel for Coloplast and Rigicon.
He is a member of Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), and an international member of the American Urologic Association (AUA),the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) and the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS), and he maintains close ties and association with many of the leading prosthetic urologists in North America. He is also a member of the SIU and the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM).
He is a regular faculty member at the Surgical Masterclasses for Serious Implanters, run by Prof. David Ralph in London UK, and is the organiser and facilitator of biennial Australasian Surgical Masterclasses for Serious Implanters.
Dr. Love is actively involved in clinical research with male health and has been an investigator on a wide range of clinical trials within the area.
He is in private urologic surgery practice at Restore Urology at Holmesglen Private Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and was, for many years, the senior urologist at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne.
Eduardo P. Miranda, MD, PhD, FECSM is a board-certified urologist specialized in male sexual and reproductive health, with expertise in penile surgery and microsurgical procedures. Dr. Miranda completed his residency and PhD in Urology at University of Sao Paulo. He completed a clinical fellowship in Sexual & Reproductive Medicine in the United States, a joint program offered by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and Weill Cornell Medical College under the mentorship of Dr. John Mulhall. He is currently working in Fortaleza, northeastern Brazil, devoting himself to both academics and patient care. His research activities are currently focused on innovative technologies for men’s health, nerve and erectile recovery following prostatectomy, development of biomaterials for penile reconstructive surgery, and male infertility.
Sung Hun, Park MD is the founder of Sewum Prosthetic Urology Center of Excellence in Seoul, Korea and an Adjunct Professor of Urology at the Ajou University school of medicine in Suwon, South Korea where he received his medical degree and urology specialty training. Dr. Park received his prosthetic urology fellowship training in the US for 6 months under the guidance of Professor Steven K Wilson. He returned to Korea and established his Prosthetic Urology clinic which in 7 years has grown become one of the highest-volume IPP centers in the world. He publishes extensively, creates surgical instructional videos and has pioneered surgical techniques of inflatable penile prosthesis under local anesthesia and utilizing the novel subcoronal approach. In his clinic he regularly instructs physicians from many countries and has performed live surgery workshops Taiwan, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Germany. Doctor van Renterghem graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven as a doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics in 1987. He then trained as a urologist at the University Hospital of the Catholic University of Leuven, Saint Martin's Hospital in Kortrijk and the University Hospital of St. Radboud, which belongs to the Catholic University ,of Nijmegen.

Dr. Widi Atmoko is an esteemed urologist, specializing in andro-urology and endourology at the Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, and Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. He earned his medical degree and specialty with cumlaude distinction, and he's now pursuing a Doctoral degree from the same university. Dr. Jonathan Clavell is a board-certified urologist practicing in Houston, Texas, USA. He is fellowship-trained in sexual medicine and an Assistant Professor in Surgery for the University of Texas in Houston – Division of Urology. Dr. Dean Elterman is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Toronto, sub-specializing in functional urology. Omer Raheem MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Chicago Medicine, Director of Men’s Health and Genitourinary Cancer Survivorship Programs. Dr Raheem specializes in men’s sexual health, male infertility and andrology at the University of Chicago, Section of Urology, Department of Surgery. He also holds a joint appointment as an assistant professor of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Chicago, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr Raheem works closely with the University of Chicago’s Center for Reproductive Medicine and Fertility team to provide care for patients suffering with male factor infertility and supports cancer survivors at the Comprehensive Cancer Center to improve quality of erectile, sexual, urinary, and reproductive health in men.

Dr. Raheem’s research published in over 150 peer-reviewed journals and nine book chapters, most recently in the Manual of Sperm Retrieval and Preparation in Human Assisted Reproduction 2021 (Cambridge University Press). He is currently an Associate Editor of Sexual Medicine, Sexual Medicine Reviews and Video Journal of Sexual Medicine (VJSM), the official journals of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), Journal of Urology Online Content Editor and Associate Editor of the newly released Journal of Urology Open Plus (JUOP), the official journals of the American Urologic Association (AUA) and Associate Editor of Andrology, the official journal of the Asian Society of Andrology (ASA). He is currently the chair of the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM) webinar series and chair of the SMSNA international liaison committee.
Dr Raheem completed his residency in urology at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship at the University of Washington. Prior to that, he completed general surgery and urology training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, and earned Master of Surgery (MCh) and master of science (MSc) degrees from the University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Mr Rowland Rees is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist based at University Hospitals Southampton and University College London Hospital, UK.
Since 2009 he has provided a regional andrology service for the South Coast region, along with an in-reach service at UCLH for penile cancer and penile prosthesis surgery.
He qualified in Medicine from the Royal London Hospital in 1995, completed surgical training at St Georges & Royal Marsden Hospitals, higher urological training on the Wessex rotation, and a fellowship in andrological surgery at the Institute of Urology, London.
Rowland treats all aspects of andrology and male genital surgery, including surgery for urethral strictures, Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy reversal and male infertility, as well as more common conditions such as foreskin problems and scrotal swellings. He performs over 300 such procedures per year, including urethroplasty, penile prostheses, vasectomy reversal, Micro-TESE surgical sperm retrieval, Nesbit & Lue procedures, Artificial urinary sphincters and male slings.
Rowland was elected Chairman of the British Association of Urological Surgeons section of Andrology and Genito-urethral surgery 2018-2020, and represented his region on the NHS England’s Urology commissioning committee. He has published over 100 articles and 10 book chapters in the field of andrology and genito-urethral surgery. He is a regular speaker and teacher at regional, national and international academic meetings, and serves on the editorial board of academic journals.

Jay Simhan, MD, FACS
Dr. Jay Simhan is Vice Chair, Professor of Urology and Director of Reconstructive Urology at Temple Health and the Fox Chase Cancer Center. Additionally, he serves as Fellowship Director of the Society of GURS verified Male Reconstruction and Prosthetic Urology Program at Fox Chase.
Dr. Simhan graduated summa cum laude with highest honors and a BS degree in Chemistry from the UNC-Chapel Hill. After also obtaining his medical degree at UNC, he completed General Surgery and Urology residencies at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed additional fellowship training in Urologic Trauma, Reconstruction, and Prosthetics at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Simhan has completed additional executive leadership training at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an active and contributing member of the American Urologic Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS), Société Internationale d’Urologie, Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the GURS.
Dr. Simhan’s clinical practice is dedicated to urethral stricture disease, open and robotic urinary tract reconstruction, penile implant surgery, male anti-incontinence surgery, revision male prosthetic surgery, Peyronie’s disease, and complications from urologic cancer treatment. He has lectured internationally on a variety of topics in urologic reconstruction, trauma, and prosthetics and is an invited international proctor for training programs in prosthetic urology. He has published chapters in many leading textbooks, including the definitive chapter on lower urinary tract trauma in the gold-standard textbook, Campbell-Walsh-Wein Urology. Dr. Simhan has co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters in leading journals including the Journal of Urology, Urology, European Urology, and the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Maria Uloko, MD, is a urologist who specializes in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction, female sexual pain, low libido/desire, regenerative ED treatments, advanced erectile dysfunction, symptomatic menopause, atrophic vaginitis, urologic prosthetic surgery, Peyronie’s disease, and hormone replacement therapy. She provides care for all genders from all over the spectrum. Dr. Uloko is a strong advocate of improving the quality of life of her patients by providing a comprehensive, compassionate and inclusive approach to often stigmatized subjects. She believes in empowering her patients to take ownership of their sexual health by providing a shame-free space to ask questions and share their stories. She seeks to close gaps in disparities of care and implement systems that promote diversity and inclusivity.

Dr. Warner received his MD degree from the University of Utah. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, AZ. He went on to complete a reconstructive urology fellowship at the Detroit Receiving Hospital. He specializes in various BPH procedures, male and female urethroplasty, male incontinence, and transgender surgery.
Jake Miller is a current Urology resident with the University of California, Irvine, having previously trained at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. During residency, he has been an active member in the men’s health team with special research interests including hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, and sexual health within the population of men who have sex with men.
Matthew Ziegelmann, M.D. is an associated professor of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA. He completed urology residency at Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in Andrology and Male Genital Reconstructive Urology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, USA. His clinical interests include medical and surgical management of Peyronie’s Disease, Erectile dysfunction, and benign penile and scrotal conditions. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, surgical videos, and book chapters. He speaks nationally and internationally on topics related to sexual medicine and has received numerous awards related to his research contributions. He is currently on the board of directors for the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and is an associate editor for the Journal of Sexual Medicine. He is a strong advocate for medical student and resident education and serves on the American Urological Association Medical Student Committee. Dr. Ziegelmann is excited to excited to join VJSM as the liasion for the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
