Himplant® Scrotal Insertion Procedure Combined with Scrotoplasty

We demonstrate scrotal insertion of the Himplant®,the latest generation of the subcutaneous silicone penile implant, Penuma®. The procedure, which features a lateral scrotal incision, is combined with release of scrotal webbing by scrotoplasty. Himplant® is constructed of a soft mesh sheeting that allows surgeons to implant the device securely without the necessity of any external mesh material to hold sutures. The authors have observed that the combination of the enhanced subcutaneous penile implant and the scrotal surgical technique has decreased surgical time, reduced patient recovery time and facilitated the implant removal process, if desired or needed.
